Readings as our family legacy

Balinese Lontar, or also called palm leaf reading, has a rich history in Bali, Indonesia. It serves as a means of divination and a medium for preserving traditional knowledge, reflecting the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Balinese people. Our families legacy in palm leaf reading dates back around 500 years, starting with our great grandfather, a revered priest, who created the first written lontar leafs. To this day we proudly carry forward our legacy of palm leaf readings and writings.

The making of Balinese Lontar

Balinese lontar, or palm leaf manuscripts, are traditionally made through a meticulous process. First, the palm leaves get carefully selected and cut into rectangular shapes. Then, a sharp stylus is used to etch the text onto the leaf surface. Finally, the leaves get bound together using strings or cords, forming a manuscript that could be easily stored and accessed. This method of creating lontar manuscripts was passed down through generations, ensuring the preservation of traditional knowledge and cultural heritage.

The ancient leafs are considered sacred and are only allowed to be read out by highest priests.

To truly understand palm leaf reading, it is important to recognize its deep spiritual nature. In countries like Indonesia, where ancestral beliefs and wisdom are highly valued, spiritual healers are greatly respected for their universal knowledge and wisdom. In our family's lineage, our great grandfather (picture on the left), many centuries ago, had a profound connection with the universe as a chosen soul. He received visions about the lives of people who would seek readings hundreds of years later.

Using the Balinese calendar, he carefully recorded these visions on palm leaves, preserving them for years to come. It's worth noting that not everyone has a palm leaf written for them, those who are meant to find their leaf will do so. If you are reading this, it is likely that you own a palm leaf waiting to be read for you.

The Reading

Every palm leaf is unique and gets identified and selected based on your name and date of birth.

The reading provides insight into:

  • general characteristics of your soul

  • your past life and reincarnations

  • any past life Karma that affects your current life

  • your soul purpose

  • potential carrer choices

  • guidance and advice for your life journey

  • general sum up of every five years of your life

  • your illnesses, what they can be caused by and how to prevent them

  • the age of your death

After the reading, you will have a personal consultation. During this time, you can ask questions about anything you didn't understand or wanted more information about from the reading. You can also discuss personal problems you are facing, seek advice on important decisions, or talk about anything else you want guidance and insight on. During this phase, the priest is channeling, which means he/she connects deeply with the universe to receive visions related to your questions.

We advice you to prepare questions in advance. Here are some inspirational topics you might want to ask about:

  • make sure you received a deep understanding of your soul purpose

  • healing traumas, healing mentally and physically

  • family

  • partners, love, soul mates

  • career related questions
